African elephants, the largest land animals on earth, are caring creatures who use more than 25 different vocal sounds to communicate with each other. Their numbers are dwindling because of habitat loss and because they are greedily exploited for their tusks - used for jewelry and piano keys – and as prized trophies of big game hunters. Between 1979 and 1989, their population dropped in half, from 1.2 million to 600,000. Today, only about 470,000 to 700,000 of these endangered animals remain.
Designed and made in the USA, this short-sleeve crew neck tee is made from a blend of 50% organic cotton and 50% recycled plastic bottle (RPET).
